We are a free entry art gallery, operating from a beautifully converted barn specifically refurbished as a modern exhibition space. The gallery comprises of 1600 sq feet arranged over two floors.We are situated in the rural village of Moulton, Northamptonshire within easy access from the M1 abd A14.
Our annual programme of six major exhibition include both Nationally recognised and Emerging artists. We stage two community art events each year, including our Village Festival and a Graduate Show from Northampton University School of Art. We hold a biennial "Open Invitation" exhibition, inviting professional and amateur artists from across the United Kingdom to submit works for exhibition at jgallery. jgallery interests are supported by a panel of local artists, designers and academics, including Elke Pollard, wife of Malcolm Pollard, Christine Midgley, Head of Fine Art at Northampton University, and Rome Scholar, Brian Dunstone, Will Alsop, Architect and artist.NEWSLETTER
Our intention at jgallery is to become both a focal point and centre for patrons who wish to view original and challenging work by the cream of the UK art scene. We regularly feature works loaned from National and International galleries and museums and private collections, together with a portfolio of drawings paintings, sculptures, installations and mixed media pieces. jgallery's commitment to artists extends beyond the mere showing of work. Each exhibition is supported with a dedicated launch event, with live performances and music, together with a bespoke marketing campaign.jgallery is a not-for-profit Community Interest Company and as such, our growth relies upon revenue from the sale of art work, creative workshops, courses and public and business funding/sponsorship. These activies generate additional funds for the support of our ongoing programme of exhibitions and events.The gallery premises are available to hire for public and private events, and the ground floor has full disabled access and refreshments can be made available on request.
